MARGAO: Fr Agnel Multipurpose HSS, Verna blanked Perpetual Succour Convent HS, Navelim 2-0 to enter the semi-finals of Salcete Taluka Under-17 Subroto Mukherjee inter-school football at Carmel College ground, Nuvem, Thursday.
Fr Agnel enjoyed the lion’s share of exchanges in both the sessions. The highlight of the day was a brilliant brace by Keegan Menezes.
In another match, Marina English HS Verna defeated Rosary HS, Navelim 4-0 to book their place in the quarter-finals.
For Marina HS Velinston Gama scored a brace while Desmond Pereira, Stephen Abranches and Cleson D’Souza scored one goal each.
