PANJIM: Fr Agnel High School, Pilar; Snows High School, Raia and hosts Regina Mundi School moved into the quarter-finals of 18th all-Goa Bro Slattery memorial inter-school under-13 football tournament organized by Regina Mundi High School, here, Tuesday.
Playing the first match, Fr Agnel trounced St Jude High School, Betalbatim 4-0 with a fine hat-trick by Touston Fernandes and a goal by Buthlar.
In the second match, Mae de Pobres School, Nuvem edged past St Thomas HS, Cansaulim 2-1. Silroy and Sanford Pereira scored for Mae de Pobres while Kenneth reduced the margin for St Thomas.
Host Regina Mundi scripted a sensational 2-0 victory over Gaurdian Angel HS, Sanvordem to move into the quarter-finals. Keith Carvalho put Regina Mundi in the lead in the opening minutes of a pass by Ivan.
Egged on by their fellow students Regina Mundi consolidated the lead when Keith was at hand to give the finishing touches to a defence splitting pass by skipper Gavin Nunes.
