“The 3rd Lusofonia Games in November 2013 in Goa will be a big success. We have reposed confidence on the Goa Government, GOA, SAG, DSYA. We have had fruitful interactions, although at preliminary stage, but we are very impressed that everything will fall in its place,” stated Alex, Vong Iao Lex, president of ACOLOP here on Monday. “It will spectacular games,” added Alex.
“We have still two-and-half years to go. It looks pretty long time, yet it is also quite short as there many things to be finalised and for the facilities and infrastructure to be in place,” remarked the Macau-based chief. “But it is possible and the local organisers have the capacity and capabilities to rise to the occasion, of course with the full-backing from the Government,” added Alex.
“We have set our goals and together will make them happen. It will be a team, collaborative endeavour. We will encounter problems on our road, but we can promise all-out assistance in overcoming them and see that jointly we will make it happen,” reasoned out Alex.
“The event in Goa will be a great success. We are confident about it after the discussions and deliberation we have had with the GOA officials Subash Shirodkar and Gurudatta Bhakta and SAG Executive Director V M Prabhudesai. And, after a cordial meeting the Chief Minister and Sports Minister, we can only reiterate that the Government is eager to provide total back up and hence the reason why it is boud to be a grand success,” divulged Alex.
“We have received several proposals and new ideas. The Government is pragmatic about what is needed for the Games. All problems will eventually be solved and sorted out, and so, we look forward for great Games in 2013,’’ summed up Alex.
