PANJIM: The Goa Football Association have condoled the death of Tyson Silva, a promising player of Salgaocar FC under-16 team.
“It is shocking that a young footballer lost his life in such a tragic manner. I got to know that Tyson was a regular player for the Salgaocar Football Club U-16 team and incidentally played against Salcete Football Club in the South District final of the GFA U-16 League 2016-17 on Thursday. I, on behalf of GFA, would like to convey my deepest sympathies to the bereaved family,” stated GFA President Elvis Gomes.
He was registered with GFA for Cortalim Gymkhana for the season 2012-13.
He went on to play for Betalbatim Sporting Club for the season 2013-14.
He also played for Salgaocar Football Club for three consecutive seasons i.e 2014-15 for the U-14 and 2015-16 and 2016-17 for the U-16 teams.
