Goa meet Assam today

The Goa U-19 team is gearing up for their opening match against Assam in Dr B.C Roy trophy U-19 Junior Nationals at East Bengal ground, Kolkata on Friday.
The squad which arrived on Wednesday is currently staying at the Salt Lake stadium. The team has had a problem adjusting to the conditions. Team manager Mario Aguiar informed Herald that the squad has decided to eat their meals outside, instead of the stadium canteen as they were not happy with the hygiene and sanitation.
On Thursday, the players were taken to a ground nearby to train, only to find they could not use the pitch. They drove back to Salt Lake ground and had a small training session on the artificial turf which the players were not used to.
Goa U-19 manager Mario said, “Despite the conditions, we are looking forward to the game, our boys are geared up and fully motivated.”
The match will be played at the early time of 8 in the morning.
