SANGUEM: Goans players shone at the UVA All India Floodlight Rapid Chess Tournament organised by Kashvi Chess Academy, Kundapura, at the UVA Meridian Resort, Kundapura, recently.
Participated by 502 players and played under different age groups, Muriel Shanessa Fernandes secured the first place in the U-11 girls category, Aditi Kamat secured second place in U-17 girls category, Shivanya Rao (2nd place U-8 girls), Amaira Borkar (2nd place U-9 girls), Sanio Silveira (3rd place U-9 girls) and Avni Kamat (5th place U-15 girls).
