VASCO: Loyola High School, Margao, defeated Don Bosco High School, Panjim, by a solitary goal to move into the semifinals of the 24th All Goa Inter-School Brother D O Slattery Memorial U-13 football tournament being played at Regina Mundi School ground, Chicalim.

Irwin Faleiro scored the match-winner for Loyola.

In another quarter-final, Rishikesh Madinal’s goal helped Infant Jesus HS Colva defeat Our Lady of Health, Cuncolim.

Earlier in the day, Don Bosco HS, Panjim, defeated St Thomas HS, Cansaulim, 2-0 with Kaylen D’Mello and Kayden Lobo finding the net.

In another Group B match, Loyola HS, Margao, defeated St Jude H/S Betalbatim 3-1. Shelloyd Sequeira and Irwin Faleiro were among the scorers.

In another match, Infant Jesus HS, Colva, defeated Fr Agnel HS, Pilar, 2-0 while Our Lady of Health HS overcame Regina Martyrum HS, Assolna, 4-2 via the penalty shootout after playing a goalless draw in regulation time.

In the semifinals, Perpetual Succour Convent School, Navelim, play St Britto’s School, Mapusa, while Infant Jesus School, Colva, clash with Loyola High School, Margao.
