Ghanashyam Shirodkar has been ousted as Chairperson of Margao Municipal Council after perhaps the shortest stint in the office of just six days. The No confidence motion was passed against him by 15-0 votes on Friday. 10 councillors including Ghanashyam boycotted the meeting. Shirodkar resigned as the chairperson of the MMC on Thursday. The new chairperson is yet to be decided. Margao MLA Digambar Kamat said the 15 councillors have become BJP councillors and will now work as a team BJP.
