Mandopa trounce Enfermos

MARGAO, SEPT 20 Mandopa Sporting Club trounced Enfermos Sports Club 5-0 in GFA's Third Division league at Sinquetim ground, Navelim on Monday. Mandopa were leading 3-0 at the breather.

Mandopa Sporting Club trounced Enfermos Sports Club 5-0 in GFA’s Third Division league at Sinquetim ground, Navelim on Monday. Mandopa were leading 3-0 at the breather.
Mandopa enjoyed the lion share of exchanges and raided the rival citadel at regular intervals. They took the lead in the 29th minute when Claudio Dias punished the rival goalkeeper with a rasping drive.
Enfermos put up a commendable show in the initial period but they lacked support from the midfield. Adding to their woes, the forwards were not up to the task.
Neville D’Costa doubled the lead in the 35th minute when he slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a scorcher. Three minutes later, Nevin Pereira put the issue beyond doubt when he unleashed a stiff shot which beat the rival goalkeeper.
Crossing over, Mandopa slackened their pace but they never allowed their opponents to struck rhythm.
After a couple of misses, Mandopa made it 4-0 in the 76th minute when Melcolm Pereira punted the ball to the far corner of the net  in the 76th minute.
Rovel Gomes rounded off the tally in the 79th minute.
At St John Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim,  United Club of   Seraulim defeated United Club of Benaulim 1-0.
At Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, Sporting Club of Davorlim  trounced  St Anthony’s Sports Club, Assolda 3-0. Sporting Club of Davorlim were leading 2-0 at half time.
Sporting Club of Davorlim enjoyed total domination and tormented  the rival defence with well orchestrated raids.
Sporting Club of Davorlim went into the lead in the 5th minute when William Niasso’s snap shot crashed into the net giving no chance to the rival goalkeeper.
Sixteen minutes later, Sporting Club of Davorlim increased the lead  when Paxton Gomes’  pile driver beat the rival goalkeeper.
Crossing over, Sporting Club of Davorlim continued to hold sway over their opponents and they rocked the citadel when Agnel Colaco punted the ball to the far corner of the net after receiving a pass from William Niasso.
St Anthony’s tried their best to reduce the margin but failed to get past the rival rearguard.
