Rohan shines

Rohan Ahuja won the open chess tournament scoring 7.5 points with a progressive of 43 organised by Cortalim Chess Club at Panjim church hall, recently.
Rohan was closely followed by Nandini Saripalli and Suhas Asnodkar with an equal number points. Results of 4th – 9th positions: Neeraj Saripalli, Shravan Barve, Wilson Cruz, Rohit Kadam, P P Insulkar and Brendon Peroz.
The following took away the age group prizes: U-15 – Mohinish Naik, U-13 – Alfredo Menezes; U-11 – Kapil Pawse; U-9 – Shane Brogans and U-7 – Sail Shetty.
Fr Antimo Gomes, Panjim Church parish Priest, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
