Rosary College, Navelim won the Goa University inter-collegiate cycling championship 2010-11 (10 points). Shree Mallikarjun College, Canacona won the runners-up position (61 points) and St. Xavier’s College finished third (62 points).
Individual championship: Jovito Monteiro of Rosary (45:08), Rahul Bidkar of Rosary (45.09), Sebydas Gaonkar of Rosary (45.10).
Team championship: Rosary, Shree Mallikarjun, St. Xavier’s.
Joseph Rodrigues, president, Goa Cycle Club was the chief guest. Meanwhile, the athletic meet scheduled for August 29 has been postponed.
