MARGAO: Rosary Higher Secondary School, Navelim recorded a hard fought solitary goal victory over SSHS Moorkanand to enter the semi-finals of All-India Mar Athanasoius Trophy inter-school football tournament at Municipal Stadium, Aluva, Kerala, Wednesday.
After a barren first session, midfielder Stephen Pereira headed in the match-winner off a flag kick by Raymond Fernandes.
Earlier in the first round, Rosary trounced Govt HSS, Mummur 4-1 while the other Goan team Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna made a quick exit losing to MCCHS, Kerala 1-0.
Rosary will now clash with twice champions G V Raja High School, Trivandrum on Friday for a place in the final.
