PANJIM: SAI Training Centre registered a thrilling 3-2 win over Churchill Brothers in the Goa Football Association U-16 League (First Division) at Ambelim ground, on Thursday.
After end to end game, SAI Training Centre took the lead in the 33rd minute through Saleet Toppo. However, Churchill Brothers managed to restore parity through Sandeep Choudhary. But SAI Training Centre regained their lead just before the breather through Om Tloake.
Crossing over, Sandeep scored his brace and equalised for the Red Machines. But SAI Training Centre scored the late winner in the 84th minute through Abdul Kochargi to steal three points.
In another match at Ella ground, Dempo Sports Club showed no mercy against FC Goa as they beat them 5-1.
Shreyash Naik was at his best as once again the lad scored two goals for the young Eagles. Shameek Vas and S Alburquerque also scored for Dempo SC Jrs while Reyes Cruz netted an own goal to help Dempo register five goals.
Rayan Menezes pulled a goal back for the losing side.
In another match at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Panjim, Salgaocar FC eased past Sporting Clube de Goa 5-1.
Sidroy Gauncar scored a double while Beckhan Dias, Rui Noronha and Cleaven D’Costa scored for the winning team while Francisco Fernandes managed to score for Sporting Clube de Goa.
