Salgaocar rope in 19 new faces

Salgaocar Sports club have been on a busy shopping spree in the transfer market with a total of 19 new signings for the upcoming season. Among them is prolific Nigerian striker Yusif Yakubu with over 100 goals in Indian football to his credit.
This year, Salgaocar plan to field a Third Divison side in the GFA League consisting of their youth team players to keep them active. Karim believes this will give them valuable senior match experience.
Karim has gone a step further by inviting junior players to participate in the pre-season training. “I have invited junior players such as Gilbert, Plecio, Joseph and Clifton to benefit from the preparation camp,” stated Karim. He believes these players can break into the senior squad in the future.
Karim Bencherifa is the head coach and he will be assisted by Mario Soares and Peter Valles.
Current players: Macklas Moraes, Peter Costa, William Colaco, Daniel Fernandes, Baldeep Singh (defenders); Francis Fernandes, Cajetan Fernandes, Anthony Barbosa, Rocus Lamare, Beevan D’mello, (midfielders); Milagres Gonsalves, Alvito Rodrigues (forwards).
Junior players: Keenan Almeida, (defender); Rosario Mendes, Standly Fernandes (midfielders); Dawson Fernandes (forward).
New signings: Arnab Das Sharma, Karanjit Singh, Monotosh Ghosh (gk); Jagdeep Singh, Daniel Vales, Jaspal Parmar, Sayed Farid, N. Kali Alaudwen, Khelemba Meitei, Chinta Rao, Rino Antao, Sohail Akhtar (defenders); W. Tomba Singh, K. Thoi Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, (midfielders); Marcus Mascarenhas, S. Subhash Singh (forwards).
Foreign players: Luciano Sabrosa (defender) and Yusif Yakubu (forward). Asian player: Ryuji Sueoka (midfielder).
