PANJIM: Services trail Goa by 276 runs with eight wickets remaining in the first innings on the second day of the Ranji Trophy Group C match, at Air Force Station, Palam, New Delhi, on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Goa skipper Sagun Kamat (81), Darshan Misal (65 not out) and Saurabh Bandekar (55 not out) scored a half-century each to guide Goa to 253 for five.
Kamat scored his runs off 117 balls during which he struck 14 fours and one six.
At stumps, Misal and Bandekar were unconquered at the crease and had already stitched 97 runs for the sixth wicket.
Misal so far faced 138 balls and hit eight boundaries during his unbeaten knock, while Bandekar was more attacking as he scored his runs off 94 deliveries and struck eight fours and one six in the process.
For Services, Roshan Raj picked up two wickets giving away 59 runs, while Suraj Yadav (1/66) and Deepak Punia (1/61) were the other wicket-takers.
Resuming the overnight score, Goa were bundled out for 304 as Darshan and Saurabh finished for 76 and 84 runs respectively.
In reply, Services lost early wickets of openers Penta Rao (4) and Soumik on a duck. Anshul Gupta (13) and Rajat Paliwal (9) are on the crease and at the fall of stumps Services were 28/2 in 10 overs. Saurabh picked up both the wickets.
