PANJIM: Shubham Shivanand Gaude won the 3rd SRS Chess Tournament organised by the A-R Tuition Classes in association with Ponda Taluka Chess Association (PTCA) and Ajinkya Chess Academy (ACA) at Curti-Ponda, recently.
Sairaj Gaude secured the second place, while Siaan Kerkar settled for the third place. Rohit Gaude, Sanish Gaude, Vedant Priolkar, Nilay Gaude and Aarush Gaude secured the 4th to 8th place respectively.
Promising player prizes were given to Bhavika Ramakant Satarkar and Divesh Diptesh Kurtikar.
Prizes were distributed by Founder President Lions Club of Ponda Midtown Vivekanand Nadkarni in the presence of PTCA President and Founder of SRS Vedic Mathematics Academy Sagar Sakordekar, Brijesh Palyekar, Riya Ritesh Shet and Anand Kurtikar (A-R Tuition Classes and EC member, PTCA).
Vrajesh Natekar and Manohar Gaude helped in organising the chess tournament.
