MARGAO: Corps of Signals drubbed Raia Sporting Club 6-0 in a GFA First Division League at 3MTR ground, Navelim, Friday. Signals led 1-0 at the breather.
The armymen dominated the proceedings but had to wait till the injury time when T C Lal Hupazwa opened the scoring off a well measured pass from Sangha.
Signals virtually toyed with the rival defense with well orchestrated raids and Budi Singh increased the lead soon after resumption as he beat the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot off a pass from Vikas Kale.
Lalhupazwa, who was a thorn in the rival defense, struck the second time in the 77th minute with a neat placement . A minute later Ramanjit Meetei put the issue beyond doubt.
Raia suffered a jolt when Danny Dias was red carded by the referee.
After taking a 4-0 cushion, Signals slackened the pace but their forwards did not lose the appetite for goals with Ramanjit Meetei scoring a brace in the 82nd minute. Roshan Singh rounded off the tally in the 87th minute.
