Sodiem slip into final

Sodiem Sports Club, Siolim defeated FC Siolim 1-0 to move into the finals of F&C Trophy soccer at Saligao Sporting ground, Saligao, today.
The all-important goal was scored by Nitesh Vaigankar, in the dying minutes.
The first half was contested equally by both teams but their forwards failed to make the best of the opportunities that came their way.
After a barren first half, both teams tried to outdo each other and take the lead. In such a move, Sodiem Sports Club succeeded in scoring a goal. F.C. Siolim thereafter tried to equalise but a goal eluded them. Sodiem, Siolim will now take on Candolim Sports Club on Feburary 15.
