CURCHOREM: Sporting Clube De Goa registered a 1-0 win over Guardian Angel Sports Club in an exihibition football match organised by Guardian Angel SC on the occasion of Guardian Angel feast, at Figueiredo ground, Curchorem, on Sunday.
The teams attacked from the word go and kept the crowd on their toes. Striker Philip Odogwu’s lone goal in the 18th minute helped steer the Flaming Oranje side to victory. Guardian Angel tried their best to level but couldn’t get past the rival defence line.
Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Guest of Honour Fr Vithal Miranda, Parish priest, Guardian Angel church, Fr Ronaldo Fernandes, Assistant PP, Sushant Naik, Chairperson of Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council, president of GASC Johncie and other office brears of the club.
