In the first half, the teams were locked 1-1.
Chinchinim had the first go in the ninth minute but Tunard Fernandes’ rasping shot was fisted away to safety by the goalkeeper of St Anthony.
Thereafter, in the 12th minute, Chinchinim took the lead as Tunard’s initial shot was blocked by the rival custodian and fell in the path of John, who tapped in from close range.
However, St Anthony SC bounced back as medio Sherwin Lobo levelled the scoring with a deft placement off an assist by Vinay Pednekar.
Crossing over, St Anthony SC dominated the proceedings and Sherwin scored the second goal to put them ahead.
