PANJIM: Vasco RCC proved their dominance on the very first day as they thrashed Sankhli RCC in the morning by nine wickets and Borda RCC by 35 runs in the afternoon in an under-13 T20 cricket tournament match organized by Sankhli RCC at muncipal ground, Sankhli.
In the first match, Sankhli were bundled out for 60. Man-of-the-match Shubankar Bhosle took two wickets for six runs.
Vasco chased the score with the loss of one wicket in nine overs. Abid scored 16.
In the second match, some atrocious fielding display by Borda RCC enabled Vasco RCC to post a commanding 116 in 20 overs. Abid (16) and Craig (17) were the main contributors. Aniruddha Bhat and Pralav Kerkar clinched two wickets each while Sanath Nevgi picked up one wicket.
Some quick run-outs pushed the Borda team back and they never recovered as they were bundled out for 81 in 18.2 overs. Shubankar Bhosle and Chaitanya took two wickets each while Craig picked one. Craig was adjudged man-of-the-match.
