PANJIM: Vaz Caterers, Ponda defeated Vailankani Boys, Kavlem 5-4 via the tie-breaker to emerge victorious in the 2nd All Goa 5-a-side football tournament organized by Bwin Sports Club at Kashimat, Ponda.
Both teams fought hard to score but were held to a goalless draw. Melwin Fernandes, Granville Braganza, Nikhil Naik, Wayne Rodrigues and Pasha scored for Vaz Caterers in the tie-breaker, while Vailankani Boys missed their last penalty.
Vaz Caterers received Rs 10000 while Vailankani Boys had to settle for Rs 7000. Melwin Fernandes was adjudged The Best Player of the tournament. Chief guest Dada, the councilor of Ponda gave away the prizes.
