GOGOL-MARGAO: Youth club of Manora downed Velsao Sports and Cultural Club 3-1 in the GFA Pro League (Relegation League) at Chowgule ground, Gogol Margao, on Tuesday.
Both teams were on equal footings with Velsao striker Cajetan Fernandes trying his best to score on many occasions along with U-20 Manora striker Swedon Aliston Barbosa. However, the defence wall of both teams guarded their respective forts.

As the match progressed, Manora midfielder Arghya Roy missed a chance to score in the second minute. Two minutes later, Velsao striker Cajetan Fernandes took a power-packed shot but was blocked by Manora defender Rajinder Kumar. Swedon Aliston Barbosa should have netted but his effort was saved by Velsao keeper Vipin Sharma in the 10th minute. It was Velsao striker Cajetan Fernandes who netted the first goal of the match with a placement shot in the 26th minute.
In the second half, Youth Club of Manora netted three goals through midfielder Arghya Roy in the 47th minute, substitute Eldon Colaco in the 64th minute and striker MD Farid in the 69th minute.
