SANVORCOTTO-CUNCOLIM: Youth Club of Manora outplayed Chandor Club 7-5 to move into the quarter-finals of the 10th Cuncolim Union inter-village rolling football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim ground, on Monday.
It didn’t take long for Chandor to open the score-line as within five minutes Chandor netted the first goal through Mario Noronha’s power-packed shot which brushed the legs of the Manora defender and entered the Manora net.
Two minutes later, Brivan Dias took a free-kick for Chandor which landed into the Manora net to double the lead.
Manora’s Klins Mendes made it 1-2 in the ninth minute.
It was Manora’s Danny Fernandes who netted two quick goals in the 15th and 23rd minutes to make it 3-2.
Later in the 27th and 43rd minutes, Jason Barbosa and and Danny Fernandes further inflated the lead for Manora to make it 5-2.
There after Danny made it 6-2 for Raia in the 45th minute.
A minute later, Chandor’s Jeston Fernandes made it 3-6. Chandor’s Benson Fernandes scored two quick goals in the 51st and 59th minutes to make it 5-6 for Chandor.
In the 65th minute, Danny Fernandes made it 7-5 for Manora.
