A tragic incident in Vadodara, Gujarat, resulted in the death of a woman and left seven others injured when a speeding car crashed into them, according to police reports. The accident occurred in the Karelibagh area, where the driver recklessly collided with multiple vehicles. Authorities confirmed that one woman lost her life in the crash, while four to five others sustained injuries.
Police indicated that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Eyewitnesses noted that the car made a sharp turn, prompting many pedestrians to react quickly and avoid the vehicle. Unfortunately, the car still struck several other vehicles, resulting in one fatality at the scene. The driver, along with another young man who was in the car, has been apprehended by the police.

There are suspicions that the car was traveling at speeds exceeding 100 km/h. The incident was recorded by a CCTV camera at the nearby Amrapali Complex. The driver has been identified as Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia, a law student from Varanasi attending MS University in Vadodara. At the time of the crash, he was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, leading to the collision with three two-wheelers, resulting in one fatality and seven others suffering serious injuries. Those injured are currently receiving medical care at a hospital.
A video that has gone viral on social media shows the black car in a severely damaged condition post-accident. A young man in a white T-shirt can be seen exiting the vehicle, claiming, “I didn’t do anything; he was the one driving.” Meanwhile, another young man in a black T-shirt, who was in the driver’s seat, continued to call out to the other youth from inside the car.
