This is reference to the statement made by the CM published on 30th October 2014 on Herald, “There are people who do not want any development in the state and have been opposing Mopa.” As a citizen of Goa I would like to know why our CM is in such a hurry to build the new airport at Mopa at any cost. Is he really interested in developing Goa? If so, then first develop the poor conditions of the roads, garbage-waste problem, parking problem, mining problem and so on. Only then Goa will be developed and not just by building anew airport.
He also said that by 2016 he will try to increase the number of tourists to 6 million. Why so? Now a days tourists are getting afraid to come to Goa because once they come for holidays and if they are molested than they have to go home without getting justice and how will he increase the number of tourists?
