BICHOLIM: The Bicholim police has arrested two youth from Chimbel involved in kidnapping a minor girl from Mayem, Bicholim. The girl was rescued at Sanguem.
According to Bicholim police, on receiving a complaint, four days ago, about kidnapping of a higher secondary girl from Mayem, they swung into action and traced the location of suspects Kishan Parwar and Sunny Naik with the help of mobile phone of the victim’s female friend.
Further, with the help of laptop frequency, the police said, they were successful in tracing the location of the suspects at Sanguem. After getting the information that both the suspects are hiding in their relative’s house along with the girl, Sanguem police conducted a raid on Sunday midnight and caught hold of both the suspects along with the kidnapped girl.
Both the suspects were arrested on Monday by Bicholim police, while the custody of girl was handed over to her parents. It is understood that girl got trapped in the plan of both the suspects. Sunny helped Kishan in planning the meeting with girl.
It is also learnt that Kishan is wanted by Panjim police in a motorbike theft case.
