RAIA: Immaculate Conception High School, Dabal, excelled in the Dharbandora Taluka Level Athletic Meet organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Campal-Panjim, recently.
The school won the taluka level championship by winning overall 15 first places, 13 second places and six third places. The list of winning athletes is as follows: U-14 boys: Samarth Gaonkar – 1st place in 200m run, 2nd place in long jump and 100m run Sahil Gaonkar -1st place in 100m run and 2nd place in high jump and 200m run 4x100m relay 1st place (boys). Participants are Samarth Gaonkar, Sahil Gaonkar, Mokshad Gaonkar and Krishan Gaonkar.
U-14 girls: Sahana Gaonkar – 1st place in high jump and hurdles. Sanika Kuttikar – 1st place in 400m run, 600m run and 2nd place in 200m run. Sinjel Gaonkar – 1st place in 200m run, 2nd place in 400 and 600m run, 4x100m relay 1st place (girls). Participants are Sahana Gaonkar, Sanika Kuttikar, Prachi Gaonkar and Sinjel Gaonkar.
U-17 boys: Daksh Gaonkar – 2nd place in high jump. Shantaraj Chari – 2nd place in 5km walk. Aaron Raposo – 3rd place in hammer throw. Sanjay Gounder – 3rd place in 5km walk.
U-17 girls: Antara Gaonkar – 1st place in 3000m, 1500 and 800m. Gauri Hulikavi – 1st place in hammer throw. Bhimava Lamani – 1st place in 3km walk. Vaibhavi Parab – 2nd place in 3000m run, high jump and 1500m run. Sneha Desai – 2nd place in 3km walk. Prachita Gaonkar – 3rd place in 100m hurdle.
