bicholim: Heavy rain increased the water level of Walvanti River even as the authorities pumped out excess water from the market as several areas in Sanquelim got flooded.

Later, the Bicholim mamlatdar, Pravinjay Pandit conducted inspection of water pumping station at Sanquelim along with WRD AE K P Naik, as pumping of water had commenced at the pumping station.
At one place, water entered the house of one Chadrashekhar Gawas. The Mamlatdar directed the Talathi to submit report to grant gratuitous relief to the affected person. In another incident, many were stranded on Goa Belgaum road at Chorla ghat after a landslide on Tuesday.
