VASCO: Minister Alina Sandanha has said that at the last Cabinet session the tourism minister informed her that heli-joy rides would start from Hotel Park Hyatt premises and the infrastructure required for the same is in place.
“As the helipad for the same is located well within the compound of the starred hotel and as there are no houses located in the vicinity of the hotel, I don’t find any reason to object the same. I only object things that are not right. In this case even the sound pollution is not a problem and I have personally visited the site to check the same. Also I have not received any complaint of sound pollution in my office till date; still I have asked the local body to check whether the heli-joy ride operator has to fulfil some mandatory norms and the same needs to be abided by him,” she said.
