Sarfaraz Mulla, who had accused Ponda police of assaulting him at the police station, has now been admitted in GMC Hospital, after he complained of severe stomach pain and urinating problem.
Mulla was admitted in GMC Hospital at Bambolim on Tuesday night.
It may be recalled that on Sunday evening, Mulla of Curti-Ponda was arrested in connection with two separate cases, one a property dispute and the other for allegedly assaulting Police Sub Inspector Laxi Amonkar.
However, Mulla claimed innocence stating that police falsely implicated him in the assault case on PSI Amonkar.
Mulla had alleged that the cop abused him and when he objected to the cops offensive language, four police constables, including PSI Amonkar allegedly assaulted him.
In the other case, where he was charged for assaulting his relative, Mulla had stated that it was a family matter and has been already settled.
Mulla on Monday evening filed a police complaint against PSI Amonkar and four other police constables demanding their suspension.
Mulla’s sister Mubina said Sarfaraz has been admitted due to injuries inflicted in the assault. Mulla is presently kept under observation at the GMC Hospital.
