Owner booked for letting minor boys ride foursome on his bike

PANJIM:  The owner of a two-wheeler was booked by the police for letting four underaged school boys ride his scooter at break neck speed on an unknown road.

The video of the underaged rider zooming on the road while the three others riding pillion went viral on social media evoking angered responses from the netizens.

The police took cognisance of the video and tracked down the owner of the scooter. 

The vehicle was resigtered in the name of Anil Laxman Pawar from Dabem in Sattari. The violators were booked under Sections 194D and 194C of MV Act for riding the scooter without helmets and riding recklessly.

Superintendent of Police (North Goa) Nidhin Valsan in a tweet said, “It took time for the police to identify them, but we are committed to ensuring that those who break traffic rules are held accountable.”
