MARGAO: Kala Niketan, Majorda in association with the Directorate of Art and Culture, Panjim will organise “Poilem Ontoraxttrik Tiatr Sommelan”, First International Tiatr Convention, on the theme “Tiatr: Kal, Aiz Ani Faleam”, on October 6, at the Convention Hall, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
Digambar Kamat, former chief minister, who instituted the Tiatr Academy of Goa, will be the chief guest and Konkani film actor Damodar (Damu) Naik will be the guest of honour.
Over 250 artistes will attend. Chitra Afonso is appointed as working president. The convention will have four sessions of deliberations: Tiatr Kal, Tiatr Aiz, Tiatr Faleam and Tiatr: Lokak Kitem Zai in which discussions of academic nature will be held.
