Elect sincere, honest leaders: Swami Ramdev

Terming the Parliament as ‘pious constitutional body of the country’, Swami Ramdev has called upon the people to elect a sincere and honest leader, who will not misuse his position on getting elected.
He was addressing the residents of Gaonkarwada-Mayem on Sunday during a special meeting called by Bharat Swabhiman (Mayem unit), where he was invited as the chief orator.
He called upon the people not to become part of the addictions and other similar things which may harm health, wealth and ultimately the nation.
Narrating the importance of Pranayam and Yogasans, Swami Ramdev said these two things have the power to transform evil things into good leading to the welfare of the country.
“Diseases, internal fights and ill nature are the three things which may led to the downfall of any country. If it is not controlled in time, there is a loss of Rs 21 lakh millions every year for the country,” he said adding that the money could be very well utilized for the welfare of country in all the terms.
Narrating the importance of natural monuments, water reservoirs and other ancient things which exists from tradition-to-tradition, he called upon the people to preserve and maintain such things.
He also highlighted the importance of organic agriculture having medicinal values, vegetables and inspired the people to undertake it for maintaining good health and ecological balance.
He also advised people to make use of Swadeshi goods which may save about Rs 15 lakh million every year.
Speaking on the issue of evacuee property which was raised by the villagers, he said every citizen has a right over natural resources and other things.
“Similarly, they have similar right to live in this nation which is governed by laws of constitution and hence every citizens should be given their own democratic right,” he added.
He called upon the people to remain united to fight against all evils to make India a superpower in the world.
Earlier, the function commenced with Swamiji lighting the lamp, followed by felicitation of Swamiji by Mayem Sarpanch Anita Naik.
Dr Suraj Kanekar compered the function, who also put forth the problems of Mayem villagers to Swamiji. Local MLA Anant Shet was also present on the occasion.
