MAPUSA: Dunes Sports Club got the better of Saligao United 3-1 to enter the quarter-final of Milagres Cup all-Goa inter-village football tournament, organized by Milagres Sports Club, at Duler Stadium, here, on Saturday. They led 2-1 at half time.
Dunes started aggressively and surged ahead in the sixth minute through Glenson Britto, who made a daunting run and finished neatly.
Subsequently, Dunes continued in the same rhythm and extended their lead with a goal from Anant.
Thereafter, Saligao United pulled a goal back through a free-kick converted by Prathamesh Maulingkar which gave no chance to rival custodian Rakesh Mandrekar.
After change of ends, Shashank Ashvekar scored a gem of a goal off a pass from Parab to put the issue beyond doubt.
