One held for molesting minor

The Maina Curtorim police on Wednesday arrested one Aslam Razvi Maula for the offense of molesting a minor girl at Rumamol-Davorlim last month.
PSI Navlesh Desai informed that the 20-year old accused molested the minor girl on January 2 when she was taken to the Maula by her mother to drive out evil spirit from her body. The girl is believed to have confided to her parents that the accused alleged touched her private parts.
The victim’s father, Amir Azam Khan, who came down from abroad, lodged a complaint with the police last night, following which the Maula was taken into custody on Wednesday noon.
PSI Navlesh Desai said the police would seek remand of the accused to police custody to further investigate the matter.
Arrested: The Maina Curtorim police on Wednesday arrested the second accused who was wanted in connection with Tuesday’s bull fight at Guirdolim. The police arrested Agnelo under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
