Margao civic members left high and dry

This should come as an eye opener to the Margao Municipal Chairperson and the Municipal Administration.
Left to fend for themselves, Margao City Fathers are increasingly making available their own manpower and machinery to keep their wards clean and free from litter.
If Councilor Tito Cardozo procured a fogging machine and the chemical from his own pocket to fight the mosquito menace, the councilor of neighbouring ward Arthur D’Silva has made available his own manpower and machinery to keep the ward clean.
Sunday saw D’Silva along with his friends and workers going around the ward as part of the cleanliness drive for want of manpower from the civic body.
“I have been left with no option than to involve my friends and engage workers for the cleanliness of the ward. The promised manpower from the civic body is yet to come till date,” D”Silva.
D’Silva and some of the councilors have also procured their own grass cutting machines as machines from the Civic body are either not available or there is inordinate delay in making available to the wards.
