Assagao Locals Flag Hazardous Water Pipes Dumped by Road, Urge PWD to Act

Residents of Assagao have raised serious safety concerns after multiple new water pipes were found lying unattended along the main road in Ward 1, posing a potential danger to both locals and tourists.

According to local resident Chandan Mandrekar, the Public Works Department (PWD) left three bundles of pipes on either side of the road leading to Mapusa. With vehicles constantly passing through, the pipes reportedly roll onto the road due to vibrations and impact, creating a risk for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
