VERNA: Mix Friends Veterans beat Siolim Veterans 5-3 to move into the quarter-finals of first All-Goa 8-a-side veterans football tournament organised by former footballers of Verna at Verna panchayat ground, on Thursday.
Siolim took the lead from Ritish but Mix Friends soon equalised through Benny Fernandes. However, Siolim Veterans scored two quick goals through Sriram.
At half time, the score stand 3-1.
Mix Friends started the second half on an attacking mood and scored four quick goals from Raju Cardozo and from Marcus Carvalho.
