50% of Goa Restaurants May Shut Over Commercial LPG Restrictions, Says Michael Lobo; CM Sawant Promises Resolution

Michael Lobo has warned that nearly half of the restaurants in Goa could shut operations by tomorrow afternoon if the ongoing issue surrounding restrictions on commercial LPG cylinders is not resolved.

Speaking on the matter, Lobo said the hospitality sector is facing severe difficulties due to the restrictions, which have affected the supply and usage of commercial LPG cylinders required by restaurants for daily operations.

Responding to the concerns, Pramod Sawant assured that the government is taking immediate steps to address the situation. He stated that he would speak to the Hardeep Singh Puri and attempt to resolve the issue by tomorrow.

Sawant expressed hope that discussions with the Union Petroleum Ministry would lead to a quick solution, preventing disruptions in the state’s restaurant industry.

The development has raised concerns among restaurant owners and workers across Goa, with many fearing potential closures if the LPG supply issue is not addressed promptly.
