Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has welcomed the passage of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2026, calling it a significant reform aimed at improving ease of living and doing business in India. He said the bill focuses on trust-based governance, decriminalisation of minor offences, and reducing compliance burdens for citizens and businesses.
Sawant credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving key reforms that simplify regulatory frameworks and enhance transparency. He also acknowledged Union Minister Piyush Goyal for steering the legislation in Parliament.
According to Sawant, the bill will boost investor confidence, encourage entrepreneurship, and create a more business-friendly environment across the country.
