Vasco MLA Krishna V. Salkar inaugurated drainage improvement and paver block laying works in Ward No. 11 in the presence of local residents and BJP karyakartas, marking the commencement of infrastructure development aimed at enhancing public amenities in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Salkar said the project has been undertaken to strengthen the existing drainage system and provide improved pedestrian infrastructure for residents.

He noted that the current drainage network required urgent attention, especially with the onset of the monsoon season. The ongoing improvement works are expected to facilitate the smooth flow of rainwater and significantly reduce the risk of waterlogging in the locality.
The laying of paver blocks is also aimed at improving accessibility and ensuring safer and more convenient movement for pedestrians.
Local residents and party workers welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that the infrastructure upgrade would enhance the overall quality of life in the ward and address long-standing civic concerns.
