VASCO: A male body was found in the sea near the Japanese Garden Beach, Vasco on Monday morning.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as one Rajesh Aroskar, (45), a resident of Headland Sada. Police further stated that Rajesh had left his residence at 4.15 pm on Sunday, informing his family that he was going for a swim. As soon as he ventured into the sea, he was pulled by the strong underwater currents. “We along with the fire and emergency services personnel retrieved the body. The post-mortem confirmed death due to drowning,” police added.
