Krishan Pal Gurjar, Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Govt of India while on his visit to Goa Shipyard Limited.

PANJIM: Krishan Pal Gurjar, Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Govt of India visited Goa Shipyard Limited on Tuesday. This was the maiden visit of Krishan Pal to GSL, since he took over as the MoS.

During the visit, RAdm Shekhar Mital, NM (Retd) CMD, GSL conducted 
Krishan Pal for a walk around the shipyard and apprised him of the various shipbuilding projects for Coast Guard and large exports in hand. Krishan Pal was also apprised of the GSL modernization plan and progress thereof.   
Krishan Pal appreciated GSL’s capability to design and build sophisticated and high value ships like Mine Counter Measure Vessels, ASW Shallow Crafts, etc and lauded GSL’s efforts in being the largest exporter of ship and undertaking upgradation of the Shipyard to meet the future strategic requirements of the Country.
