Beef ban

Maybe our ancestors, the earliest Goan’s did not eat beef nor pork, but the colonial rulers must have taught them to do so, so if today Goan’s are beef and pork eaters put the blame on the Portuguese people, and who is to be blamed for allowing Portuguese people to rule over us? After India getting Independence, Goa continued to be under Portuguese rule for 15 long years, why? Where did the people calling themselves protectors of Indian culture hide then to resurface now. Can the members of VHP or for that matter RSS have an explanation to this? Why do they wish to bring about disharmony among people living in peace.
We attained freedom from the British/Portuguese because we wanted to live as free Indians. Let us not discriminate nor divide on the basis of caste, creed or religion. Let us have the freedom to eat, drink & dress of our choice.
The cow a docile animal well deserved to be protected, cared and well deserving to be called a national animal is forgotten and instead the ferocious Tiger is given that status. Let us make efforts to make the cow a national animal and then put a ban on cow slaughter.
