PM Modi greets Putin on 73rd birthday, looks forward to his India visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (October 7, 2025) held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin to extend his greetings on the latter’s 73rd birthday. The leaders discussed ongoing developments in their bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia. Mr. Modi also expressed his anticipation of welcoming Mr. Putin to India for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.
