Speaking at the post-match press conference, Parag praised 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who stole the spotlight with a stunning 93 off just 38 balls and earned the Player of the Match award. However, the Royals skipper also addressed the criticism and scrutiny he has faced recently regarding his personal life.

Parag, who was recently involved in a vaping-related controversy, said he has learned to ignore outside noise and focus entirely on his cricket.

“One thing I have understood over the last few years is that people will talk no matter what I do,” Parag said. “What matters is that it should not affect my game, my form, or my mindset. Keyboard warriors are outside my work, and that should remain outside.”

The Rajasthan Royals captain stressed that maintaining confidence in his abilities is more important than paying attention to public criticism or social media commentary.

Reflecting on the intense attention surrounding IPL players, Parag added that cricket holds immense emotional value across the country, and players always aim to give their best for fans and supporters.

“A lot of things happen outside the game during the IPL season, but this country loves cricket deeply. As players, we always try to perform for the crowd and live up to their expectations,” he said.

Rajasthan Royals will now look to carry their momentum forward as the race for the IPL 2026 playoffs intensifies.
