CUNCOLIM: Fifteen candidates filed 16 nominations for 14-ward Cuncolim Municipal Council (CMC) on Wednesday taking the total to 74. Filipinha Victorina Barbosa submitted two sets of nomination papers to contest from ward no. 2.Not a single nomination was filed today for ward nos. 3, 7, 8, 10 and 14.
Four nominations were filed in ward no.2 while three each were filed for ward nos. 5 and 9 which are general wards. One nomination each was filed in ward nos. 1, 4, 6, 11, 12 and 13 of which 1 and 4 are reserved for women while 6 is reserved for OBC and 11, 12 and 13 are general wards.
