MARGAO: State BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade on Wednesday said senior leaders of Goa should know that reservations are not done by the political parties and expressed confidence that the party will secure victory in all municipal councils.
NRI Commissioner Adv Narendra Sawaikar, Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar, Cuncolim MLA Clafasio Dias and others were also present.

Harun Shaikh, former president of Cuncolim Youth Congress and General Secretary of S Goa Youth Congress joined the BJP along with his supporters.
Tanavade said, “Several youth have joined the BJP in Margao and in various areas of the State. Harun’s entry will help BJP in Cuncolim and in other Constituencies”.
“We will win all the municipalities and the parties and persons who are dreaming of making gains will be taught a lesson,” he said.
“Despite various agitations in rural Goa, the villagers gave the verdict in favour of the government. People trusted us. Reservation is not done by parties and those who are speaking on the same should know that,” he said. Tanavade also announced that Satyavijay Naik will be their ZP candidate for Navelim.
