5 kg plastic removed from abdomen of cow

BICHOLIM: Veterinary doctors from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Old Goa, in a rare operation removed a 5 kg plastic from the abdomen of a cow at Shikeri, Mayem.

BICHOLIM: Veterinary doctors from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Old Goa, in a rare operation removed a 5 kg plastic from the abdomen of a cow at Shikeri, Mayem. 
Dr Eknath Changulkar and his team removed the plastic after an operation lasting for four hours. 
The caretakers, noticing that the stomach of operated cow was looking bigger than that of the others, called a doctor to inspect it. On inspection, the stomach was found to be containing foreign object, prompting an operation. The cow is said to be in good condition after the operation.
